Submit A Data Recovery Job
Submitting a data recovery job to DataTech Labs is extremely easy. Simply fill out the data recovery submission form, and send the drive to our headquarters in Denver, CO or find a location near you to drop it off.
Data Recovery Submission Form
It is required that you complete the data recovery submission form. This form gives our engineers valuable information to expedite the recovery of your irreplaceable data. Our engineering staff cannot begin the evaluation of your hard drive until this form has been completed and signed.
Proper Hard Drive Packaging
If you are shipping your hard drive we ask that you place your media in an ESD (Electro Static Discharge) anti-static bag. If you do not have one they can be obtained at any local computer parts store. Also, if you’re unsure how to properly remove your hard drive it is advised to have a professional technician properly remove the hard disk. If you must ship your entire desktop, laptop, RAID, or other media please contact us in advance to discuss shipping methods. Make sure you provide ample padding around all sides of the hard drive, suspending the media in the middle of the package. Please also remember to include the signed data recovery submission form with the media device. No work can be performed, including evaluation, without the completed submission form.
Shipping your Hard Drive
It is highly recommended to use a shipping method that supplies a tracking number and insurance (if required). When shipping a hard drive or other failed media device, always write “FRAGILE” on the exterior of the packaging.

Once your hard drive is received, it will be checked into our system and assigned to an engineer to begin the evaluation process. Once the evaluation is completed your engineer will contact you with a diagnosis. If you have any questions or concerns about shipping your media, please don't hesitate to contact us.
