Raid Array Testimonials

Below is just a sampling of testimonials from our customers and what they are saying about the Raid recovery we performed. The greatest form of advertising is word of mouth and we pride ourselves with each raid recovery testimonial we receive.

"On behalf of the Bureau of Reclamation and myself I would like to thank you and your peers for a job well done.I don't know where to begin with this as I feel all of the service provided to us was A++. Your goals paralleled that of ours "getting our data back" and there wasn't a rock left unturned in achieving that goal. The dedication to cracking the goofiest RAID configuration that I have ever seen was astounding!! 24 X 7 for the better part of 8 days (WOW). The communication from the beginning to the end "weather good or bad" was one of a kind and parallel to none. I wish every company I had to deal with was as easy work with and straight forward as you guys at DataTech Labs."

Thank you for your undivided attention in this matter,
Aaron Strahl

"On behalf of the user group, The Construction Management Group (86-68160) for the Bureau of Reclamation, I would also like to echo my sentiments of a job well done. After hearing of the loss of data and the subsequent loss of back-up data, you can only imagine the fear in our division that years of hard work were spiraling down the drain. The data encompasses over 300 projects in the 17 Western United States. It would have been catastrophic to have lost all that historical data.

Aaron did his best to describe the efforts you and your peers were attempting to recover our data, he updated us with more positive updates and then the horrific news that it might not be at all possible, kept us in a constant state of hope and despair. We are still not exactly sure what steps you took to complete this endeavor, but we are thrilled to see every piece of the puzzle returned to the box.

Needless to say, we are grateful for the efforts made by you, your peers, and your company. We are also impressed by the efforts our own IT group made to ensure our data was recovered by contracting you to recover this data.  It is always important for us to remember that teamwork is the key to running a successful business and from my very grateful co-workers to yours, we appreciate the seriousness in which you attacked the problem and kept us informed along the way."

"I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to DataTech Labs for taking the weight-of-the-world off of my shoulders. Our RAID-5 array running Linux Scientific crashed on us over the weekend. It contained all of our important data products and represented analysis work that was performed by my co-workers over a ten year period. When I approached DataTech Labs with my situation, I was relieved to hear that they were interested in helping me, that they asked me the right questions - details about what happened leading up to and after the RAID crash, and that they weren't going to charge us an outrageous rate. They were optimistic about recovering the data and that alone gave me a lift in spirit. It wasn't long after DataTech Labs started working on our drives that I received the good news informing me that the data was recovered.

Thank you DataTech Labs for you expertise and friendly, professional technical staff. I have already recommended DataTech Labs to my colleagues and will continue to do so in the future. "

"On behalf of our entire organization I would like to thank you and your staff for you efforts during our multiple (3) RAID 5 crash. The professionalism and dedication of your organization was apparent, which was especially refreshing when it's often difficult to find vendors willing to go the extra mile. Your work helped us ameliorate a very difficult situation and allowed us to get back on our feet better thean we had initially hoped. Please feel free to use this letter as a reference for future work. While I hope none of my associates have the need for your services, if and when that occasion arises you will be the first (and only) place I will recommend."

Thanks again for eveything!

Sincerely,
Brian Shepherd

"DataTech Labs really saved the day. We had originally tried our luck with another major recovery company in California who claimed RAID expertise, but we were told that our RAID 5 was completely unrecoverable. After our RAID was shipped back to us in Denver, and some technical discussions with DataTech Laboratories, we decided to move forward with DataTech. They kept us involved in every step of the process and recovered our critical corporate data, 10 years worth. Hats off to the team at DataTech Labs for a professional and successful recovery."

"I wanted to convey my appreciation for the excellent job you had done to restore the data on our server. As you are aware, all our company's files were stored on the set of RAID drives that failed. You were able to restore every single file which literally saved us from a major disaster. Your team work and positive attitude made all this possible. Thanks for coming to the rescue."

"Please accept this letter of appreciation and recommendation in behalf of DataTech. Our firm sadly experienced a complete failure of hardware from a key RAID server. We followed the 'book' procedures from the server manufacturer and local qualified techs, only to find out that factory recommended procedures actually made the situation worse. We then engaged a professional and well know data recovery service, but sadly, we were only given back old and mostly useless files. The hard to recover .pst's and compressed financial files that were really needed were lost. Or so we were told. As a final resort, we contacted your firm. You personally took an interest in our situation and we forwarded our drives to you. Shortly thereafter you returned to us virtually all the financial files, most of the .pst's and many more usable files that were previously thought unrecoverable. We also appreciate the respectful and dignified way you and you staff treated all involved. You left us with as much dignity as the situation was going to allow. It was handled very professionally. I am forwarding your contact information to a number of consultants that I had first approached when the failure occurred. It was their advice that compounded my problems. Now that we know to contact DataTech first, maybe others will not need to go through the pain we did.

"Just a note of thanks for your extraordinary work in our time of need.   While technology by and large is a blessing no one ever said it was 100% reliable 100% of the time.  For example we experienced a major Linux RAID 5 hardware failure on a Friday afternoon and as a result critical data disappeared from a server used to support a  key account for our company.  Unfortunately for our customer had not backed up the data properly and thus his web presence was shut down until DataTech retrieved the necessary lost data.  The job was complex but Datatech navigated the minefield beautifully and we had our data back and the customer up and running in short order.  We could not have done it without you and we truly appreciated the exemplary service provided by the entire Datatech  staff.  Not only did we get 100% of the data we got it back fast.   Rest assured there is only one data recovery company in our referral book - Datatech Labs! I had just finished rebuilding our corporate server. Anxious to reconnect to our data and resume business, I discovered that 120GB of business critical data was now unavailable. The data on these two drives consisted of everything from our financial and donor records, to the massive collection of artwork, logos, and marketing files used in all our publications. A misstep on my part of not properly "breaking" the drive mirror before rebuilding the server led to the sudden catastrophe. A recent relocation of our offices had interrupted the normal backup routine leaving our backups severely compromised and all but worthless. I was devastated!

My first thought was to utilize the Certified Professional services of our Microsoft Partner program. Initially there was great hope in accessing the data again as Microsoft worked for two (2) hours in attempting recovery. Unfortunately, the file structure necessary to restore access to my data was corrupt and even the Microsoft professionals couldn't rebuild it. That's when I started looking for a data recovery service. I called numerous companies around Denver. I grew discouraged as I was quoted significant upfront fees just for looking at my drives, potential cost mounting into the thousands of dollars for data recovery, and estimated time involvement of up to 3 weeks. Then I stumbled across the website of DataTech Labs and as a result of what I was reading, called right away.

I was so impressed right from the beginning. The person on the other end of the phone was actually interested in listening to my story. He made me feel like my situation was the most important one of the day. Upfront cost to examine my drives, zero! Cost for data recovery due to logical failure (clearly my situation) started at $500.00! Time to repair, "bring the drives in and lets see", I was told. "May only require 24 hours." I was amazed! My experience once I arrived at DataTech's lab was no less pleasant. I was handled very professionally, my concerns treated with the utmost urgency, and I even got to speak with the lead technician who would be handling my data. Wow, the service was incredible.

Well, I'm very happy to report, that not only was the DataTech Lab technician able to recover my data, but in he was able to deliver it in exactly the same file structure it was in before the failure, structure which was at risk. All of this was put neatly onto an external, USB hard drive which was ready to connect to our server back in the office. We were able to just copy the data to our newly formatted drives. Turn around time for this project . . . same DAY! Now that's service!

I can't say enough good about my experience with DataTech Labs. From the professional manner in which my concern was handled, to the speed in which they resolved my issue, they are clearly a cut above. I will return again whenever I have such a need in the future. I highly recommend them to anyone requiring data recovery or any of the other fine services they provide.

"A customer of mine suffered a catastrophic RAID failure in August 2007. I preach to all of my customers about the necessity to have a valid back up at all times. As a tech taking care of a network we get the mentality that we can fix anything and tend to loose sight of our backups. This was true in this case. My last valid backup was over 6 months old on this server. The customers company had bought into a national chain franchise and there had been major changes to the network.

To make matters worse this was an MS SBS server and they used all of the features contained. From the last valid backup it would have made sense to just start over but there was irreplaceable data. This was a RAID 10 array on an embedded Adaptec controller. All of my research indicated that there was no way to recover and to just start from scratch. I called all of the "Big Boys" and those that did respond to me wanted $2000 or better just to look at it.

On top of that they wanted anywhere from $15,000 to $25,000 to recover in the time frame I was in. I knew that it would be difficult to get a hold of anyone since it was late on a Sunday when I gave up and started looking for help. I was greeted by unfriendly auto-attendants or people that could barely speak English, that is until I found Datatech Labs. Not only did they assure me that everything was ok, but that they were pretty sure from the info I gave them that they could help me out.

We sent the drives to them on Monday and got them back on Friday with 100% success!!! We lost absolutely no data at all and it cost a fraction of what everyone else wanted. They saved my customer and they saved me and they saved us money, with that they will have all of my recovery projects forever.

All other recovery companies should bow down in fear of Datatech Labs!!!"
